Technician Vacancy

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new dealership, Omoda & Jaecoo in addition to our Ford franchise and are seeking skilled Qualified or Time-Served Technicians to join our dedicated team at our workshop on Penarth Road, Cardiff.

£24,538.80-£35,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform service and repair work on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Prepare new and used cars for sale.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in training Apprentices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with all vehicle makes and models is essential.
  • Ford experience is advantageous for this role.
  • Light Vehicle Qualification or equivalent time-served experience.
  • Full Driving Licence with an acceptable record.
  • Computer literacy.

Additional Opportunities:

  • We offer funding for MOT Training and Refresher courses for employees interested in becoming certified MOT Testers.

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 5.15 pm. Saturday (overtime paid at time and a half): 8.30 am to 12.30 pm on a Rota basis

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technician to join the team at our modern Transit Centre workshop on Penarth Road, Cardiff.

£27,000- £32,000 per year + uncapped bonus

Essential Skills:

  • Light Vehicle Qualification / Time Served also accepted
  • Full Driving Licence with an acceptable record.
  • Computer Literate
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • MOT Tester (We will fund MOT Training /Refresher courses for employees who wish to become MOT Testers).
  • Main dealer Experience

AutoElectrican  / Diagnostic Technician

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician / Auto-Electrician to join our growing multi-franchise diagnostic centre. Offering a fantastic basic salary and bonus structure with a excellent opportunity for you to be able to progress within a multi-franchise, family owned business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carrying out in depth diagnostics on vehicles to the highest standards, including diagnosis of electrical and electronic problems
  • Liaising with customers on technical/product issues
  • Attend training and keeping up-to-date with product knowledge
  • Deal with complex queries from other Technicians

Key requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds qualification /Proven “Time Served” also acceptable in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • A strong background in diagnostic repair
  • A full UK Driver’s Licence – With acceptable record
  • Methodical problem-solving skills
  • The ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • The ability to quickly grasp new vehicle technologies
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team

Holidays

22 Days Holiday (Rising to 27 with long service) plus 8 days Bank Holiday
