The Ford Puma ST

The Ford Puma ST is the next generation of Ford Performance. The first performance SUV to grace Europe, The Ford Puma ST is a vehicle built for the fun of driving.

One of the most exciting vehicles in Ford’s range, we were most impressed by its striking mean green exterior that embodies the Ford ST range. The sort of colour that makes you take notice right from the off. It’s not monotone. Far from it.

A sporty SUV, designed for the Fiesta ST owners more than anything, packs a punch. The engine is 1.5-litre Ford EcoBoost, turbocharged to hit the high notes of 200 PS and 320 Nm of torque. Expect to go from 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds, it is a vehicle that can not only take the kids along the morning commute of old, but also bring to the forefront the ultimate exhilaration of a Ford Performance vehicle.

We said the vehicle is built for driving, but what does that mean in layman’s terms? There’s four selectable drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport and Track. They aren’t just names, each one catered to modify engine mapping, throttle and steering response, as well as traction and stability control settings. The crispness of the 12.3″ digital instrument cluster makes swapping from different modes as simple as A B C.

During 2020, Ford sent the Puma ST to the Goodwood SpeedWeek and were able to record 360-degree footage of the SUV in action on the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit. Watch the video to and play around with the camera to interact with the Puma ST.
