Over time, the refrigerant (gas level) in your car’s air-conditioning system can deplete, causing it to lose its cooling efficiency. Recharging your aircon not only ensures a blast of refreshing cool air on those scorching hot days but also helps maintain the overall health of your vehicle’s aircon system.

Common signs your aircon needs recharging:

• Airflow isn’t as cold as it used to be: If the air blowing from your vents isn’t as cold as it used to be, your gas level might be low. Recharging the system replenishes the refrigerant, restoring optimal cooling performance.

• Visible leaks: Visible signs of refrigerant leaks, like oily residue around fittings or hoses, indicate a leak in the system. While recharging the system provides immediate relief, it’s important to address the leaks to prevent recurring issues.

• Musty odour is coming from the vents: A musty odour or visible mould in your aircon system indicates moisture build-up. Recharging the system can help remove moisture, improving air quality by circulating fresh gas.

Terms and conditions and Important Information

*The Air-Conditioning Recharge campaign runs from 17 June to 31 August 2024 for vehicles three years and older. Modified systems are excluded. Advance appointments are required; walk-ins depend on availability. Additional services, if recommended, are at standard rates with customer approval. The recharge is valid for four weeks, with no warranty for modified systems, accident damage, wear and tear, or poor repairs. Repairs or replacements are not included. Issues found will be communicated with recommended actions. Fordthorne is not liable for pre-existing conditions or improper use. Terms effective from 17 June 2024 and may change with notice.
